Still in Sacramento! Here is the Governor's Mansion, in other words : Swarzy's Sacramento house. Of course he doesn't live here, it's more a guest / office place where he has official meetings...etc
A big cigar in his Swarzy office, some books about how to fight terrorism, some pictures with Bush&him ...etc Pictures from inside not allowed!

Thanks-giving=holidays (part 1)

Hello everybody, last week i got 2 free days, thanks to thx-giving. It 's part of US traditions. For diner we ate a huge turkey (that leaves you asleep once you're done).
so what did i do...:
Thursday : Hike to mount Diablo!!! (pictures will come on next post)
Friday : Visit of Sacramento, the capital city of California State
Here we are!

Since Sacramento is not a little city I just visit the ''Old Sac". It is located in downtown. A quite nice place were you can walk... Here you can see a special horse-vehicle. We went with 2 co-workers to the Railroad museum. An interesting trip into the past...(nostalgia also ... look at this LEGO city)
We also had a "ride" in a steam train from begin of the 20th century.

Hello everybody, a couple weeks passed since the last post...but nothing new over here...
Worse! my car is getting older and older... but lucky me, it's still working.
Last Saturday i went to Bearcreek, between los Gatos and Santa Cruz, for a paint-ball session. From 10 to 15h30, running, crawling, jumping, shooting... capturing the flag... and Aie Aie Aie Bullet hurts. There were a lot of people to ply with, it was really fun. Unfortunately no picture of the battle field... too dangerous and too sticky.
Yesterday, I climbed Mission peak again, and here are some pictures:

I'll finish with a star: here is Nelly Furtado. An amazing coincidence!! I went to the birthday of a brasilian guy and she was there singing and taking pictures...

FIRST EARTHQUAKE !!!!!!! For Halloween

Hello everybody... I'm save!
After the fires, now the earthquakes... California is not as peaceful...

MAP 5.6  2007/10/30 20:04:54 37.432N 121.776W  9.2    8 km ( 5 mi) NNE of Alum Rock, CA

It was amazing!!! and seemed to last forever. I was learning guitar when it happened... A false note I guess, God wanted to help me by giving me the tempo.
Everything vibrated, 5.6 on Righter's scale. The center was near Alum Rock (pictures on a former post).
At least NO DAMAGE, as far as I know.
Let's give you some other news: Halloween Party mixed with the Birthday of almost all the Bresilian folks.

Hello everybody, I'm sure you were all waiting for some news... here they come:
Yes, in California there is also autumn:

Do not worry about me, the tragic fire phenomena is happening at about 6 hours south from were I live.
The next picture shows a water source in Alum rock park. It's been 2 weeks already.

Last weekend we went to crystal spring reservoir. A nice little path for bikes:

And finally last saturday night, I went to my first Bus party. It is a nice concept....
Not taxi but a bus, with a bunch of Happy people inside, driving around San Francisco, and stopping in clubs... It was:
NICE!!!
This post is the first of, I hope, a long serie in English.
Since I stay longer over here (contract as been signed), I might make a site... But for instance I will keep giving you news here... ;-)

let's go to reyes point

here we are... geting into reyes point area!
Le weekend dernier nous sommes alle au nord de San Francisco. Juste apres le Golden Gate, plus rien, garrigue, foret, collines, falaises, etc... le tout en suivant la cote. Et voici qques echantillons de notre periple au nord avec thomas un pot du boulot:

Un sentier assombri par les pinaides du littoral...
Littoral, littoral... en voici plutot l'aspect... sentiers bordes de buissons et de pins... on se croirait dans les landes avec un peu

Voici un insecte venue de nullepart... juste rencontre sur un pont en bois.
Et voici le littoral en question, calme en cette saison d'ete, pas de vague pour surfer, mais enormement de requin pour devorer!
Cependant il existe des contrees avoisinant les paysages tropicaux...bizarre, bizarres...
